Kelly Moffett, "God of Water"

Kelly Moffett

When the God of Water enters your Basement, Bow

You make a sound of a window inhaling spring

and illustrate the dimensions of you,

your cheeks full

like wax about its wick, your tongue the wick.

But downstairs the water answers its own stillness.

You hear it now.
