Born May 5th, 1971 in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, Philip Meersman has been active in the fields of theatre, poetry and plastic arts since 1984. Philip has been constantly searching for (re)new(able) art and creative people. In 2009 Philip is co-organising BruSlam every 11th of the month, the first multilingual open-mike reading series in Brussels, together with the French speaking Belgian poetess Claude Io (http://bruslam.over-blog.com/). In 2010 Philip will work together with Claude Io on the audio-radio-documentary project “Trois langues sur un mouchoir” by Muriel Claeys.
